Dear readers: It’s been a pretty exciting first few weeks here at the ol’ Blue Valley Post. In just a month of publication, we’ve seen our list of Facebook followers grow from less than 500 to nearly 2,500. What’s more, we’ve brought more than 20,000 unique visitors to the site in the past 30 days — that roughly 1/3 of the traffic we do on our original site, the Shawnee Mission Post, which has been publishing for six years. It’s clear there’s major demand for community news in the Blue Valley area. But we wouldn’t be able to bring it to you without the support of community-focused companies like our newest Founding Sponsor, First National Bank. Here’s a summary of First National’s philosophy on commitment to Johnson County:
For nearly 160 years, First National Bank has been committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and has maintained a passion for doing what is right for our customers and our communities. We truly believe that our success as a company is measured by the success of each of our stakeholders – our customers, communities, business partners, employees and the environment. From our sponsors
In Johnson County, our ongoing commitment is demonstrated by the opening at the end of this month of our seventh full-service branch location in the area, located in the new BluHawk development in Overland Park. This location will help the bank to more effectively serve the area’s increasing need for financial services and contribute to the community’s growth. It will provide added convenience for our customers, plus additional staff and expertise to meet all of their banking needs.
At First National Bank, you won’t find a one-size-fits-all approach. Understanding that no two customers are alike, the bank offers a wide range of financial products and services for a diverse group of clients. Bank employees are dedicated to building effective, long-lasting banking relationships. First National Bank has proven stability you can rely on with a history of trusted service. First National’s newest branch, at 7901 W. 159th Street in the BluHawk Development, will open to the public next week. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 8 a.m.
Please welcome them as our newest Founding Sponsor, and thank them for making truly local community news possible in Blue Valley.
