The J.Crew store in Leawood’s Town Center Plaza is closing after just over 12 years in that location.
Since 2009, the store has occupied the space on the south side of the shopping center next to Bath & Body Works at 5004 W. 119th Street.
The company has announced it will move out of that storefront by the end of January.
The store will officially close its doors of its Town Center Plaza on Jan. 23.
In-store purchases are currently 50% off until then, according to an email sent to customers.
The clothing retailer is known for selling multiple brands of women’s, men’s and children’s apparel.
J.Crew filed for bankruptcy and anticipated closing several locations during one of the initial waves of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020. The company got approval to exit bankruptcy later in the year.
J.Crew’s one remaining location in the Kansas City metro is at Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza.
