Blue Valley starts classroom grant fund with $500K donated by BV Northwest alum and Dropbox co-founder

Blue Valley establishes grant fund with money donated by Arash Ferdowsi.

Blue Valley Northwest graduate and Dropbox co-founder Arash Ferdowsi donated $500,000 to establish a fund for classroom and districtwide grants in Blue Valley. After one year of investing the money at Midwest Trust, the plan is to withdraw $30,000 annually to support the district's teachers and students, according to the district. If the fund hits $1 million or more, the BVEF will be able to start drawing 10% annually. Image via Arash Ferdowsi's Twitter page.
