Legal and technology solutions company UnitedLex will open a new office at Aspiria, the former Sprint headquarters that is undergoing an extensive, years-long makeover.

According to Wichita-based developer Occidental Management, which owns Aspiria, the company signed a lease for roughly 16,000 square feet of space in the large mixed-use development at 119th Street and Nall Avenue.

“As the demand for data-centric solutions continues to increase, we’re looking forward to growing our presence in the Overland Park and Kansas City area,” said Ryan Reeves, Chief Client Officer at UnitedLex. “There is a great talent pool in this region, and we hope this office space continues to attract world-class employees to our mission.”

Established in 2006, UnitedLex offers Questio, a managed service that offers litigation services, law department consulting, digital contracting solutions, intellectual property, cyber risk solutions and financial advisory services.

With operations spanning 18 countries and 25-plus global jurisdictions, over 400 companies use UnitedLex’s 3,000 legal, engineering, and technology professionals, according to the company’s website.

UnitedLex has over 20 offices across 10 countries, but their location at Aspiria will be the first of its kind in Kansas.

Occidental Management’s recent changes and additions to the Aspiria campus include bringing the RideKC bike share program to Overland Park and introducing a custom-designed app for connecting those who work at Aspiria.

Once the campus is fully developed, the area will have an additional 1 million square feet of office space, 380,000 square feet of mixed-use retail and restaurant space, a 120-room hotel and 600 multifamily units.

UnitedLex is the fifth recent company to recently sign leases for office space at Aspiria. The others include Overland Park-based TreviPay, freight giant Yellow Corp. and Leawood financial services firm CreativeOne.
