Leawood reviews major ongoing projects — Here are 5 that could get finished in next year or two

On Monday, the Leawood City Council reviewed several goals the city has for the next 5 years. They include the incorporations of a dog park at Ironwoods Park and a new art piece at Tomahawk Park. Leawood is planning to have a new art piece at Tomahawk Park and make improvements along 135th Street, among other goals for the next five years.

At a special work session Monday night, the Leawood City Council discussed the city’s goals they have planned for that time span.

All 29 goals discussed had been previously approved by the council in February 2021, so the meeting was a chance for the council to receive an update on where each project currently stands.
