High-end men’s apparel store Suitsupply is leaving Leawood’s Town Center Crossing shopping center.

Where exactly? The Netherlands-based chain that has offered “impeccable suiting since 2000” was open at  4419 West 119th Street in Leawood for the past five years. The store’s last official day of business in Leawood was May 15.

Leawood shop: Suitsupply opened at its Town Center Crossing space in December of 2017, occupying the space between Tuft & Needle and the Woodhouse Spa.

  • The store offered a range of men’s items, such as suits, jackets, blazers, coats and vests. In addition to browsing, customers could also work with stylists to find new items through individual, group or virtual appointments.

Bigger picture: Outside of Leawood, the company has more than 150 stores in 24 different countries.

  • The Town Center Crossing store was Suitsupply’s only store in Kansas. The company also has a store in St. Louis.

What’s next: While it’s leaving Leawood, Suitsupply might not be leaving the Kansas City area altogether.

  • The company’s marketing director Kirsten Zwijnenburg said Suitsupply has plans to relocate in the metro but did not give concrete details on where exactly it would be moving to yet.
  • The Kansas City Star reports the company may be looking to move into a space in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District
