HNTB Corp., a Kansas City-based engineering and architecture firm, has officially moved its Johnson County office.
The company — fully named Howard, Needles, Tammen & Bergendoff — moved into its new offices on the Aspiria campus in south Overland Park.
The firm has designed a number of industrial projects in the Kansas City metro area and across the country.
It’s the latest corporate tenant to take up space on the one-time Sprint campus, which is being remade into a sprawling mixed-use development.
HNTB will occupy 25,000 square feet of space
- The firm has moved into an office on the southern side of Aspiria’s campus.
- The firm’s Overland Park office was formerly situated at 7400 W 129th St.
- The building at Aspiria neighbors customer service company TTEC Holdings Inc.
- HNTB worked alongside Occidental Management, Aspiria’s developers, to design its new office, the company said.
HNTB specializes in infrastructure design
- In particular, some of HNTB’s focus areas include airport, corporate headquarters and stadium projects.
- Some of the firm’s local design projects include the extension of Kansas City’s streetcar and renovations on the University of Kansas Memorial Stadium.
- The Kansas City-based firm has offices across the country and has worked on projects in a number of other states.
HNTB’s move marks the latest step in Aspiria’s growth
- The 207-acre former Sprint headquarters has added a number of corporate tenants over the last few months.
- Other recent additions to the campus include Overland Park-based TreviPay, health care company NationsBenefits, and customer service outsourcing firm TTEC Holdings Inc.
- Pet food company Hills’ Pet Nutrition will also relocate from Topeka to the Aspiria campus later this year.
