The restaurant will open at Camelot Court

• HomeGrown will operate at 11705 Roe. Ave., on the west end of the Camelot Court shopping center, neighboring Mr. Gyros Greek Food & Pastry and Smoothie King.
• The space previously housed the Corner Bakery, which closed last fall after almost 10 years in Leawood.
• Regular hours for Homegrown’s new Leawood location will be 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., every day of the week.

HomeGrown Kitchen boasts “the best brunch and lunch”

• The “daytime eatery” serves breakfast items like blueberry streusel pancakes, avocado toast, eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy.
• The restaurant’s lunch menu features items like turkey avocado sandwiches, house salads and tomato soup with cheese toast.
• HomeGrown’s menu also includes coffee drinks and cocktails, as well as seasonal items — currently including blueberry lavender lemonade and lavender lattes.

This is HomeGrown Kitchen’s first JoCo location

• The opening marks the restaurant’s third Kansas City area location, with two more already open in Kansas City’s Brookside neighborhood and in Liberty, Mo.
• The restaurant also has three locations in Wichita, where HomeGrown first opened, and recently opened another in Des Moines, Iowa.
